Contributory Parent visa (subclass 173 and 143)

The Contributory Parent Visa is designed for parents of Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to live in Australia. This requires a significant financial contribution from the visa applicant and allows parents to join their children in Australia. It is important to note that the Contributory Parent Visa application process can be complex, and various eligibility requirements and criteria must be met. We at Grow Smart Education can help you with the most current and detailed information and simplify the process.

With this visa, you can live in Australia for up to two years, work and study without relying on government support, and enroll in Australia’s public healthcare program, Medicare. You also have the option to apply for a permanent Contributory Parent visa (subclass 143). This involves a two-step process: first, you apply for the temporary Contributory Parent (subclass 173) visa and then for the permanent Contributory Parent (subclass 143) visa.

Eligibility Criteria:

The temporary visa allows multiple entries so that you can travel in and out of Australia for two years. You can also include family members in your visa application. The total cost is AUD 32,430, with additional charges for family members. The visa fee is paid in two installments, and there may be extra costs for health checks, police certificates, and biometrics.
The assessment process involves checking your eligibility and either adding your application to the queue or refusing it. If a place becomes available, the assessment will continue. It’s important not to plan to stay permanently in Australia until your visa is granted. You must meet all visa conditions and comply with Australian laws. Your visa will be digitally linked to your passport, so there’s no need for a physical label. Before traveling to Australia, ensure you have a valid visa, passport, or other documents. Upon arrival, you must adhere to visa conditions and Australian laws and promptly report any changes in your details. Before leaving Australia, ensure your passport is valid and consider using the Departures SmartGate for a smooth departure process.

If you are a sponsor
