Eligibility Criteria

Age Requirement: You must be under 45 years old when you receive an invitation to apply. You remain eligible to use if you turn 45 after receiving the invitation. However, you will not be considered if you turn 45 between submitting your EOI and accepting the invitation.

Points System:

The subclass 190 visa is points-based. Upon submitting your EOI in SkillSelect, you will receive an indicative points score. A score below 65 points will disqualify you from receiving an invitation.

Invitation Specifics:

If invited, your invitation will indicate the points score required for your application. This score may be higher than 65 based on your EOI claims. You must provide evidence supporting your claims at the time of application. Use the points calculator to assess your potential score.

Health Requirements

Australia enjoys some of the best health standards in the world, and the Australian Government invests a lot of effort to maintain these standards. Hence, visa applicants must meet specific health standards before granting the visa. Health is assessed as part of the visa application process. Sometimes, family members who won’t accompany you to Australia might still need health examinations. You might also only need some of the health examinations again if you had any in the last 12 months. Your referral letter will outline the specific examinations you need to complete.

Character Requirements

The applicant and family members aged 16 years and over who apply for the visa with you must meet the character requirements set by the Australian Government. It is essential that family members who are not coming to Australia also meet these requirements.

Debts to the Australian Government

If you or any family members (including those not applying with you) owe money to the Australian Government, you must have repaid the debt or arranged a repayment plan.

The applicant and their family members must obey the rules associated with the Skilled 190 visa.
